This is the adapter that comes with the DS. It is an excellent charger that has a feature that allows the plugs to fold into the rest of it, making it compact and portable. It charges the DS quick and easy, a charge that lasts for up to 8 hours unlike the PSP's 2-3 hour charge. If you lose the plug that comes with the DS, or want another one just in case, this is an excellent thing to have.

I definitely know that when it comes to handheld game systems, Nintendo has remained the king for nearly 25 years. It started with the Nintendo Game & Watch handhelds, then moved on the success of the Game Boy and its variations, and now just a year and a half ago with the Nintendo DS. But, there are just no batteries involved with the system. All it actually takes is a simple AC adapter to charge a special battery designed for the DS. While you can get that with the Nintendo DS, it also is available to buy seperately as a backup. It is very useful if you buy the DS used, or if the adapter that comes with the DS isn't working properly, this is a great backup.

I've had my DS Lite since the unit was released, and my daughter and I have logged many hours on it. When it stopped holding a charge, I realized that I really didn't want to have to replace the whole unit--I like the GameBoy Advance slot in the front, and the new body style doesn't have this.

Enter the perfect, cheap, renewable energy source: this replacement battery pack. For just a few dollars, we're back on our feet and playing away. It arrived simply packaged, with the tiny tool for undoing the screw on the DS Lite's battery panel, and within about 2 minutes we were done and on the charger.

We have had a DS Lite for a while, and recently it stopped holding a charge. This battery seemed like a reasonable solution to our problem. It installed easily, shipped promptly, and holds charge without any problem.

If you need a replacement battery for a DS Lite you won't be unhappy with this purchase. It comes with a small screwdriver to help remove and reseal the battery cover. The entire process took only a minute or two and the DS Lite was back up and running.

This battery looks very similar to the old DS Lite battery, but had more English writing on it.

This AC Adapter for the Nintendo DS Lite is identical to the one that comes included with the game system.

One nice feature is that the prongs of the plug swivel in and out. This means that, when folded in, the unit is fairly thin and easy to store. It seems well made and sturdy, even with the moving part.

Works as advertised. Unlike the original Nintendo DS adapter, this one supports both 110 and 220 Volts (I've used it both in Germany and the US). Of course you'll still need an appropriate adapter in order to plug it into any European sockets.

WOO-HOO! I was so happy I found this charger. The A/C charger that comes with your DS Lite only had a 110 Volt rating - which mean you can only use if in the US. I do a lot of travelling overseas and this product is wonderful. It allows you to charge your DS in a 240 Volt setting. The only draw back is, it's a little bigger than the original charger and in certain countries you'll have to find an Adaptor Plug such as this one here

This works great for charging both my DS Lite and classic DS from USB. I also like the included keychain flashlight- it's kind of random thing to include that is in no way related to the charger, but it's quite bright and handy to have anyways.

I'm not sure why the previous reviewer says that it doesn't fit the DS Lite- it does, perfectly. Perhaps she is trying to use the GBA Micro adapter that is included? You don't need to- the adapter is only to charge classic DS/GBA or GBA Micro- the cable itself is all you need to charge DS Lite.

It works though it is a little flimsy. My sons have this because I asked their uncle to buy it for them. It does work on the DS lite and Game Boy that we have. You cannot use the round adapter on the DS lite, but it works with the cable. It is a little flimsy, but for the price, is OK. My sons have gone through many chargers with their game boys, and I expect them to do that with the DS. Not a big problem if you read the directions and look at the cables.

I recently bought this because I received a PSP without a charger. This was the only thing the store had as far as PSP chargers and it looked like a pretty good deal so i picked one up and brought it home. For what it's designed to do, it does it perfectly, charging not only a PSP, but also DS Lites and DSi's. I recently tested it on a DS Lite and a PSP and it turns out you can charge more than one system at once. This is plenty enough of a reason for people who travel alot and have a ds and a psp to pick one up. You can also charge through a usb port on your laptop, tv, or anything with a usb port. In addition you can charge through a cigarette lighter in your car. The way this works is you have the initial 3 pronged PSP/DS lite/DSi input, going to a usb port. You can then plug into the included car charger with a usb port plug, which can later be plugged into a wall charger adapter. The main reason this is a wonderful product to me is now I don't need to bring along any other wall chargers for my iPOD, phone, or virtually any device that has a usb cord, I can simply plug my iPOD, PSP, and phone into a usb hub, plugged into my energizer car charger, plugged into my energizer wall charger and only use 1 plug. It simply works great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to carry less cords

This is an excellent replacement charger for the Nintendo DS and DSi. (I think it also works with the PSP). The charger itself is actually a car USB adapter with a USB cable. You slide the car adapter into the included wall adapter and it converts it to a wall charger for your unit. As a bonus, it will charge other devices if you have a USB cable for them (e.g., my Blackberry and iPod...) It is well designed and very function. A great value for the money!

There are so many times where owners of the Nintendo DS have to constantly recharging their game systems, because the battery only lasts a very short period of time. Nvertheless, for those who have lost or had their original AC adapter broke down, there are always substitutes. Pelican hasn't always done right with their accessories with other video game systems before, but this system add on is a essential tool. This AC adapter for the Nintendo DS is very convient, and works well at charging your system by simply plugging it into the outlet, and charging your system up. I definitely suggest this tool because it is inexpensive, and works very well.

This product took weeks for it to come in the mail. When I did receive it, there was absolutely no packaging slip, and it was packaged in a personal brown envelope. The product was still in its packaging from Best Buy retail store. How does it work? Who knows? It is the wrong adapter. It is only for DS not DS lite. If there was a packaging invoice slip, perhaps I could return it. Totally sloppy business from Amazon this time around.
